Penmaenmawr beach is barely visible from the expressway and is surely one of the finest beaches in North Wales, it is a gloriously wide sandy stretch from Penmaenan to Penmaenbach The views from the shore are exceptional, from Llandudno’s Great Orme headland, westward to Anglesey and the Menai straits. In late summer the breathtakingly beautiful sunsets over Puffin Island are not to be missed. The beach is very popular for swimming, windsurfing, and yachting. Penmaenmawr has a new promenade with many features carefully designed and landscaped terraces, skating park, children’s paddling pool and play area, cafeteria, beach chalets, ample parking and wheelchair users are particularly well-catered for on the promenade.

Slipway is for the use of Sailing Club Members and Permanent Residents of Penmaenmawr Only. All craft must be able to produce current evidence of insurance. Full or day membership allowing launching can be obtained at the clubhouse or the Harbour Master. Day membership launch fee of £14 (subject to change) Day launching is limited to a Maximum of 10. The General conditions, Bylaws and regulations relating to the use of the slipway are posted on the notice board adjacent to the slipway. The Council/Sailing Club reserve the right to close the slipway for use if it is considered necessary to do so for any reason.
