Please take a minute or two to read through the revised Guidelines below. They
have been updated to make the whole Discussion Forums experience better for both
you, the user, and for our team of moderators; if everyone follows these
Guidelines, the moderators really won't need to step in at all!
The Discussion Forums are the place where you can have your say, voice an
opinion on current affairs or meet up with friends. Just choose one of the
forums and see what's going on - don't forget, if you want to post messages, you
will need to be logged-in. If you haven't got a Pen-online account then simply
click on Register in the top right hand corner of the site.
Your postings will appear immediately on the site once you activate your
account, In order to keep this the case, when posting to the Penmaenmawr Forums,
please follow the common sense guidelines below:
Do be civilized and considerate.
Don't swear.
Do try and express your thoughts
carefully and clearly.
Do be sure to read what the other
person is actually saying and not what you think they may be saying.
Don't get personal; a good general rule:
"criticize ideas, not people".

personal/racial/ethnic/gender-based insults, slurs or offensive comments, They
will not be tolerated.
Don't make posts that are inflammatory
just to wind people up.
Don't post when intoxicated! You'll find
it harder to keep to the guidelines!
Don't post junk.
Do keep messages on-topic and post on
the appropriate topic board.
Don't duplicate existing topics
elsewhere.
Don't post advertisements. If you are
unsure whether or not a posting constitutes an advert, e-mail Here before posting.
Do watch what you say – you are
responsible for what you write. Views that are expressed in the forums are not
endorsed (agreed with) by the groups involved in Penmaenmawr.com
Don't post personal information about
yourself or someone else (whether you know them or not!) - it's for your own
safety.
Don't make slanderous statements, or
anything else that might violate someone's privacy.
Don't post contact details e.g. phone
numbers and physical address details.or post other peoples e-mail addresses
unless you have their permission to do so.
Don't threaten other users. Threats will
not be tolerated and will result in a ban.
Do remember: the Discussion Forums are
NOT typical Forums - not only is this an online community, it's a geographical
one too; you may well be talking to your neighbour!

remove any message, at any time, for any reason. All editing decisions should be
considered final.
